Educational Experience
RMIT University | Student, 2022 – Present
Sun Tracking Solar Panel | 2023
As part of our “Computing Engineering” unit, teams were tasked with developing an idea that integrated
mechanical and software engineering skills into a single showcase project.
I applied for and was selected as project lead of a 4-person team. Over the course of 4 months, I successfully:
- Designed & manufactured hardware such as mounts, gimbals, & misc. items using Fusion360 & 3D printing.
- Wired PCBs, motors, sensors, and other control hardware following our own circuit diagrams.
- Wrote Python programs to control the device and log data collected from various sensors.
- Developed testing procedures to determine project feasibility and confirm adherence to quality standards.
- Presented results and a live demonstration to peers, staff, and external parties - Awarded a HD grade.
Engineering Project | 2023
Over 6 months, the Engineering Project incorporated work integrated learning to create an immersive
experience that replicated the responsibilities, objectives, and outcomes of a real-world engineering project.
Encompassing mechanical, electrical, software and safety engineering, the project aimed to design and
implement automation systems for advanced manufacturing operations.
As team leader of the associate degree’s capstone project, I successfully:
- Set and outlined goals and objectives needed to exceed the projects requirements.
- Developed and managed a team across multiple disciplines to meet key outcomes.
- Set and managed deadlines overcame unexpected delays using tools such as Microsoft Project.
- Hosted individual and team reviews to check on progress, offer support and provide constructive feedback
- Learned about each individual’s strengths so tasks could be delegated to those best suited for the role.
- Pitched and demonstrated the completed project to representatives from RMIT and Festo for a HD grade.
